Conclusions from the International Conference in Sarajevo Posted on Aug 30, 2008 by admin
The First International Scientific Conference on the “Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids" came to a close in the conference hall of Hotel Grand today Aug.30th, 2008. Scientists and experts from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, China, Russia, Poland, Great Britain, Hungary, Austria, Croatia, Monte Negro And Bosnia Herzegovina all took part in it. Number of respected archaeologists, geologists, physicists , Egyptologists, geo-physicists, chemists, architects and others presented several dozens papers and reports.
Committee for recommendations consisting of:
- dr. Nabil Swelim, Egyptologist and archaeologist, ICBP President
- dr. Oleg Khavroshkin, geophysicist, chairman of Scientific committee for ICBP Conference
- dr. Alaa Shaheen, archaeologist, Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology at Cairo University
- dr. Hassan El-Saady, Historian, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Alexandria University
- dr. Anna Pazdur, physicist, GADAM Centre, Department for radioisotopes, Institute for Physic and carbon dating, Silesian Technological University, Gliwice, Poland
- dr. Mona Haggag, archaeologist, secretary of the Archaeology Association in Alexandria, Egypt
- dr. Ivan Šimatović, president of ICBP Conference organizing committee , Croatia
- dr. Mostafa El-Abbadi, archaeologist and historian, University of Alexandria, Founder of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina
- Chris Norman, planer from Edinburg, Great Britain
- Semir Osmanagić, Founder of the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundationand and vice president of ICBP
- dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Aly, Egyptologist i archaeologist, University of Ein Shams, Cairo
formulated draft recommendations on Aug 28th, 2008 which were adopted by all of the participants on Aug 29th, 2008 as follows:
CONCLUSIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
We, the participants of the First International Scientific Conference „Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids" (ICBP 2008) conclude:
Work at the archaeological location „Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids" in Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is an important geo-archaeological and epigraphical research that requires further multidisciplinary scientific research which should answer the origin of the Bosnian pyramidal hills and the extensive underground tunnel network as well as other archaeological sites in the vicinity;
ICBP Conference recommends that Second International Scientific Conference about the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids should be held in Sarajevo in two years (2010) and gather experts in pyramid research from all over the world;
ICBP Conference introduces the initiative to establish Centre for Pyramid studies with headquarter in Sarajevo;
ICBP Conference recommends universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to establish study at the graduate level for archaeology as a support to the research project „Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids".
