Semir Osmanagic has been inducted into the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences!

Moscow, May 28th, 2009 - The founder of the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation Mr. Semir Osmanagic has been inducted as foreign member into the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RAEN).

The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RAEN) founded by eminent Russian scientists in 1990 as the Academy of Sciences of the RSFSR, which includes many recipients of the Nobel Prize and researchers who have made breakthrough scientific discoveries, has contributed greatly to the world science. It has been always maintaining the scientific contacts with both the institutions and scholars of other countries (Europe, USA etc.) and actively participated in the development of global problems.

On May 28th, 2009, this prestigious institution has inducted Mr. Semir Osmanagic as its new foreign member for his discovery of the Bosnian pyramids, the underground tunnel complex in Ravne and the multidisciplinary scientific approach applied to the geo-archaeological project of Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids. In 2007-2008, a scientific team of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences has been sent to Bosnia in order to fulfill a detailed geophysical, geochemical and seismic research survey in Visoko area, Vratnica and Zavidovici and, consequently, the group of experts which had Bosnia visited twice informed other Russian academicians about the research results.

This prestigious acknowledgement has come from the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences for the work and efforts made by the Foundation APBPS, the researchers and collaborators involved into the project and, in first place, represents a personal award for Mr. Semir Osmanagic who, among other acknowledgements, in 2006 was granted honorary citizenship of Visoko and has become at the beginning of 2009 a member of the Archaeological Society of Alexandria.

During his stay in Moscow, Mr. Osmanagic suggested to members of the Academy of Sciences to continue to support also in the year 2010 with their multidisciplinary approach the project of the Bosnian pyramids.
